Good News!
Josh got offered his first interview today!!! It's November 13th at the University of Vermont. We're just relieved that somebody liked what they saw so far, and that hopefully that means other schools are looking at him too.

Making Room For Shane
For the almost two years that we've lived in our place now, the extra bedroom has been a sort of depository for our junk: boxes, golf clubs, furniture we didn't have room for in our tiny front room, etc. The piles have gotten even bigger as we've started adding all our baby stuff to it. And I have not really felt the desire at all to "nest" or get that room ready for Shane.
Well on Friday we went to Ikea to purchase one of our last big baby items, a dresser. Josh is like a little kid with legos whenever we get anything that needs to be put together, so after the football game yesterday he went to work on it. In my usual nightly tradition I fell asleep on the couch around 9:30 or so, dead to the world until Josh handed me a toothbrush and told me to wake up (for those of my family who have ever tried in vain to wake me up, Josh has figured out that this is the only safe way to do it). He told me he wanted me to see the back room, and when I saw it I was surprised enough to really wake up. I wish I had a before picture so you could see what a mess it had been. In the hour or so I was asleep, he had finished the dresser, found places for all the things that had been cluttering the floors, and put all the baby clothes in the dresser. Even with all that organizing and putting away he managed to make space in the closet because I had said I would like to hang some things in there.

The room is so small I couldn't get in a good spot to take a great picture, but this gives you an idea. And yeah, the bicycle is still in there, but we really didn't want to put it outside. When I feel like nesting I guess I'll put a few decorations in there, but for now it just feels good to know there will actually be a spot for Shane when he comes. It's been sort of hard for me to actually feel like we really will be bringing home a baby in a few months, but as I sat down in the chair and looked out at the room, I had a little moment. I couldn't help but think that in a few months I'd be sitting in this chair quite often, but in the middle of the night to feed Shane. Though I'm a little bit scared for those moments and the lack of sleep, it was a good feeling and made me feel a little bit closer to the thing moving inside of me, and a little bit more ready to have him come. Not to mention grateful for Josh and all he does to make me happy.

This Week in Numbers
Nothing too exciting has happened this week, but I don't like to let too much time pass between posts, so here's a quick recap of the week from 0-8:
0- Cavities Josh and I had at the dentist yesterday. Woohoo!
1- Points BYU won by in the game yesterday. We're just relieved they won.
2- Number of times I fell asleep trying to watch movies. Shocker.
3- Nights in a row I cooked full-fledged meals (ie not just tacos). I don't know what got into me (yes, that is a lot for me), but I think next week it's back to baked potatoes!
4- Days Josh has had in school
5- Trips he made up and down the RB stairs on the first day of class. I think he burned off all that good home cooking!
6- Days until the UCLA game when our family comes to Provo!
7- Number of kids in my class I want to sit on. Just kidding, it's really only like 2. Okay, okay, I know I should love them all, I'm working on it!
8- Ounces of steak we both enjoyed at Outback for date night on Friday.

24 Weeks and Back to School
Well, I've busted out the maternity clothes! They are way comfy, which is nice, but sometimes I feel like a bus! At least they have some cute things out there these days. In other news, I started school last Wednesday, and things have been going good so far. The first of the year is always a little hard feeling like you're having to train a new bunch all over again and you don't know them very well yet, but it's starting to come together. And amazingly, I haven't really felt too tired or anything! I have some good kids, I would post some pictures but I've never really felt quite right about putting pictures of my kids on the internet. Rest assured, they are cute!

Jamie's Wedding and California
The past few weeks have been quite a whirlwind! After getting home from vacation in Bethany, we went to Manti for a few days to get my car fixed. Josh's car ended up totalled, so the insurance company gave us money for it and we were able to buy a nice Nissan Maxima.
I like to call them ebony and ivory
Then my whole fam came out to Utah for Jamie's wedding. It was a great day and we are all happy to have Tim in our family!
I was a slacker on the picture taking, I just got this one of them cutting the cake. They were way too nice!
My niece, Kate, and Josh's little brother, Matthew flirted up a storm and were quite fun to watch. They chased each other around in circles, and Matthew was even showing off his dance moves and pushups for her. For days after Kate would sigh and say, "Matthew loves me."
Then we went down to California for the open house.
We got to go to an Angels game, and it was floppy hat night. I get a good laugh every time Josh puts his on- not quite his look!
Swimming with the Yoders.
What a good looking couple!
At the open house. My parents have done a great job on the yard, if you look you can kind of see the waterfall in the back.
Josh thought it would be funny to take a picture of the preggo lady in front of the food. In my defense, I was just sneaking food to the fridge so my fam could have leftovers!

It has been a fun few weeks and great being with family, but we are glad to be back home and into a routine again!
