So Josh has been so good to not only watch Shane all day but also make dinner most nights so I don't have to worry about it when I get home. His only stipulation was that I pick the dinners and write very specific instructions for him. So I picked my favorite dish, Crockpot Chicken, recipe as follows:
Put 4-5 chicken breast in the crockpot
Add 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can cream of celery, a packet of Good Seasons Zesty Italian dressing, and 1 box of cream cheese cut into chunks
Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours
I had gotten the soup all ready for him (gluten free) the night before so that all he would have to do was throw everything in. Well, I got a call at school and it was Josh, wanting to know how much cream cheese to put in. I said, "a box", and he said "you mean like the whole stick," and I said "yeah". I came home eager to feast on my favorite meal, dished us up, and thought, hmmm, this doesn't taste quite the same. We were going over what could be different: maybe it was because you stuck it on high instead of low? Did you remember the packet of italian dressing? He started repeating everything he did, and walked over to the shelf and said "I put in a whole stick of this". Only the "this" he was pointing to was not cream cheese, but CRISCO!!! Eeeewwww! I think I'll head to the gym now... ! Really though, even though I just ate a bunch of lard in liquid form, I am so grateful for Josh being so willing to help me out with everything. He usually does pretty well, I'm not quite sure what happened tonight! But he did give us a good laugh, and something to blog about!
