We are really really loving it here in Fort Wayne. Sometimes I feel like parts of this city were designed with me personally in mind. Like the Y. I'm sure the Y is great everywhere, but look how pretty this one is! This picture shows about 1/3 of it, it is pretty big with a workout center, indoor track, climbing wall, indoor pool with waterslide, indoor playground, etc. etc.

And if all that wasn't enough, they just opened their new outdoor aquatic center that is included with your membership. (One of the hospital systems funded it, they really sponsor a lot of cool things in the town). There is no way I could take my 3 kids to a regular pool by myself, but I can to this one because there are lots of areas for them to just wade around and play. Marissa likes this area,
and Shane likes the little slide area behind it. I like that there area lots of areas for me to sit with Sadie and supervise, and several shady areas right next to the pool too.
This was 4th of July, but usually it is a lot busier (and Josh is not usually there)
Basically, we will be spending lots of time here!

WOW! That looks amazing. Our Y is like the oldest one in the country (not really, but it might as well be). It looks totally shabby and decrepit compared to those pictures, but I still love it just the same. Yeah for The YMCA! :)
That looks amazing!!
That is super nice looking and awesome that the membership includes the pool, too! PS When you first said Y, I was thinking about the one on the mountain in Provo! Lol
wow! i am super jealous. i'm going to check out if there are any around here now. :)
So glad you have such a great place to go and take the kids. You always find wonderful things to take advantage of wherever you live. Smart girl! Thanks for posting the pictures.
That is amazing! The Y here doesn't even have childcare--isn't that ridiculous?! The one and only gym within thirty miles of where we live that does offer child care costs $15/month for Kenley and $30/month for Maggie. It's rough. So glad you are liking Ft. Wayne and Josh is loving his work, too!
