and lots of apples, apple cider, apple cider donuts, etc..
The second one had a U-pick section
so we got a big bag (1/2 a peck to be exact) and picked our own apples off the tree
and did a little frolicking through the orchard with our friends too ;)
It was so fun and the apples are so good that I think we may go back again in a couple weeks. My friend Heather came over on Sunday to help me make apple crisp with some of them, and I'm gonna use some for this pork chop recipe tomorrow from my newest favorite recipe blog, also where I got the recipe for this white chicken chili I also made this weekend. It's soup time again! (To Josh's dismay and my delight ;) )
Can you tell a lot of my love for the season revolves around food? (Don't even get me started on all things pumpkin!) I guess it's a good thing that the crisp fall air also happens to be my favorite to run in.

oh my goodness, i am SO excited for pumpkin pictures. hooray! fall is my favorite season and i am bummed that once again we are where there is NO fall, although, it's a lot cooler than the island. :)
ps, i love the picture of shane in the orchard. so cute.
I can't wait for it to start feeling like fall here. Enough of the mid-80s already! I am afraid it we will go straight from hot to snow and we won't get to fully enjoy our fall season.
Even though Marissa is crying, I think that picture is cute :) Also, that white chicken chili looks incredible, and I too have a love for all things pumpkin! I picked up some Dreyer's Pumpkin ice cream today! 'Tis the season!
How about that soup recipe? That looked really tasty!
