The finished products. I know, I know, I have a real artist on my hands :)
And we debated about whether or not Marissa and I should go to church but decided we were ready. Dressed up for church
This was before, she was tired and not happy about me putting her down to take a picture! But I had to take a picture of her in her cute Easter dress. Our first time at church with two kids went much better than I had hoped, and Shane was so happy to have his mommy there again.
Both our sweet moms left us Easter baskets while they were here so we opened those after church and after Shane's nap I hid some eggs outside for him.
I kept wondering what he was doing fumbling around i n his bucket...
duh, he was trying to find the candy! And he succeeded.
And I decided to go crazy and cook a ham this year. I tell you though, if you want to do one, get one of these bad boys from Sam's Club. They are already cooked, boneless, it's all good meat and not super fatty, comes with a glaze and all you have to do is warm it in the oven. And of course the little "gluten free" label on the outside had me from hello.
The Easter feast.
We had fun doing some new traditions this year, but especially enjoyed remembering the triumph of our Savior and that because of it we can live with our loved ones and Him again.

I see Gluten Free things on everything these days and always think of you guys! That's nice for people like Josh that it's such a craze right now! Glad things are going so well for your little family!
wow! back to church already?! good job and i am so happy to hear it went so well. love all the updates lately... who would have thought that adding a kid would give you MORE time to blog. :) or maybe it's because there is more to blog about...? miss you guys. keep it up, we love to see what you've been up to. :)
Easter dinner looks good! I couldn't do a ham for Brian and me because the smallest I could find was 8 lbs and we are moving too soon... I can't believe how red Marissa's face gets when she cries. Also what nice moms you have to leave Easter baskets :) P.S. Kelly you look really good for just having a baby!
Congrats on surviving church. You all look lovely, as does your Easter dinner, yum! I'm glad to hear that having two kids is survivable, because any time anything with Bean is hard, my first thought is usually "How in the heck will I do this with Kid 2, when Bean is X-years old?" You give me hope.
most adorable children ever- Shane looks huge -boooo and Marissa- EDIBLE the dress was so cute too- and the hair that you can put a bow in! I just love that-- ps who cooks Easter ham when they just had a baby- I'm so impressed!
Ham...way to go! I thought about doing a ham, but we just grilled brats instead ha ha. I figure it was in tribute to all of our walks Easter afternoon around the lake and smelling all the delicious bbqs:)
Nice work on the Easter meal. Well done!
Shane looks so old in that last picture.
You are quite a cook. Wow. I loved the comments that Shane says.
